The timer cannot be pausedIt starts when you click Start. Closing the tab or losing internet does not stop it.

Your work saves automaticallyCode autosaves every 15 seconds and whenever you switch tabs. When time runs out, your answers are submitted for you.

Check your work with sample testsRun them as often as you like. After you submit, we also run hidden tests covering edge cases.

Your own work onlyDo not use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot and similar) or copy code from the internet. You will be asked to explain your code in a short follow-up call.

This test is proctored, with screen and cameraYou must share your entire screen, keep your camera on with your face visible, and stay in fullscreen. Before the timer starts you will show your desk and room to the camera. A screenshot of your screen is taken about every 30 seconds and reviewed by Altherix and an automated AI check for AI tools and other help. Your camera is checked in your own browser for a phone, another person, or you leaving or looking away; when that happens a small photo is saved, plus a few random photos. Camera video is not recorded or sent to any AI service. Stopping screen sharing or the camera, leaving fullscreen, switching apps or tabs, and pasting code are all recorded. Screenshots and photos are used only for this hiring round and then deleted.

Use a laptop or desktopChrome or Edge recommended, with a stable connection. A working webcam is required. On a Mac, allow your browser under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording and Camera before you start, then restart the browser.
